The course provides a comprehensive introduction to Proxmox VE. It is focused on its architecture, installation and management. Participants will learn to configure network settings, manage storage, virtual machines and containers, implement security strategies including a firewall.

Manage VM/CT startup and shutdown behavior
  • Automation of starting and shutting down VMs and CTs.
  • Planning and managing service dependencies.
Backup and recovery, scheduling
  • Backup strategy for VMs and CTs, including offsite backups.
  • Backup planning, setup and management of backup jobs.
Proxmox VE Firewall
  • Firewall configuration and optimization in Proxmox VE.
  • Rules and policies to ensure network security.
Deployment of the guest
  • Automation of installation and configuration of new VMs and CTs.
  • Using templates and preconfigured settings for fast deployment.
Troubleshooting (for simple node setup)
